Porcelain Veneers
Porcelain veneers are thin, custom-designed shells that change the shape, color, or alignment of the teeth that show when you smile. Designed and built by Dr. Luciano Retana, a prosthodontist with dental-lab training.
A veneer is a thin layer of porcelain bonded to the front of a tooth. It changes the look of the tooth without significantly altering the structure underneath.
Dr. Luciano Retana plans the final result first using a smile design process. Teeth are minimally prepared, impressions or scans are taken, and custom veneers are made. The veneers are bonded into place at a follow-up visit at the Boulder practice.
Veneers can correct discoloration, chips, gaps, worn edges, and minor alignment issues all at once with a planned esthetic result built to last.

Frequently Asked Questions

People who want to change the color, shape, or spacing of the teeth that show when they smile, and who have healthy teeth underneath to build on.
We plan the look first, then lightly prepare the teeth, take impressions, and bond the custom veneers at a follow-up visit.
Plan on two to three visits over a few weeks, including the design and the final placement.
Veneers are a long-term commitment, since a small amount of enamel is reshaped. They're best chosen as part of a planned result rather than a quick fix.
Your teeth may feel slightly different for a few days as you adjust. Normal brushing and flossing keep them looking their best for years.
