Implant-Supported Dentures

Implant-supported dentures lock onto dental implants so they stay in place, chew well, and stop clicking and slipping. Planned and delivered by Dr. Luciano Retana at Arapahoe Dental.

A denture that attaches to two or more dental implants. It is removable for cleaning but locks securely in place during the day.

Implants are placed in the jaw and given time to heal. The denture is then designed to snap onto the implants using locator attachments. You remove it for cleaning but it stays put while you eat and talk.

Compared to a traditional denture, an implant-supported version solves the most common complaints: clicking, slipping, sore spots, and weak chewing force.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about implant-supported dentures.

Denture wearers frustrated by clicking, slipping, or sore spots who want something more stable but still removable for cleaning.

Implants are placed and allowed to heal, then a denture is made to snap securely onto them.

Because the implants need to heal, the process generally spans a few months.

You'll still take the denture out to clean it, but it locks firmly in place during the day.

After implant placement, expect mild soreness for a few days. The denture is fitted once healing is well underway.
